Mom Talk

We have family in from out of town visiting and watching my 4-year-old interact with our 2-year-old nephew is quite entertaining. She could not wait for him to get here (we haven’t seen them in a year because they are missionaries to the Philippines). When he arrived, he was a bit shy for a little while and she was kind of disappointed. Once he warmed up, he wanted her to play with him upstairs in her playroom. She suddenly wanted to sit and visit with the adults. She actually told him, “No, I’m just too tired to go up there with you.” I almost laughed out loud. She finally mustered the energy to spend some time playing ball with him and her dad. The baby is now the grown-up. Funny.
