And a Good Mornin’ to YOU!
This morning, I woke to the sound of my daughter yelling at the top of her lungs.
“Moooooommmmmyyyyyyy!!!!” She shouted from her room repeatedly. Barely conscious, I stumbled out of bed and to the stairs. “What’s wrong?” I asked, in a panic. “Nothing,” she says, “I just didn’t want to be alone.” Terrific.
“Don’t yell like that unless you really need something. Like an emergency.” I said this to her in a less than patient voice. When she started her bellowing, she sounded really desperate and it scared me. Add that to jarring me out of a sound sleep and it was not a pretty picture. I hope she got the message.
