Decorating for Baby Shower
So today’s the day. I get to start decorating for my friend’s huge baby shower. I’m sort of excited because I came up with a ton of ideas. I’ll pass on the ones I’m using here so if any of you need to spruce up a church basement for a baby shower, you can use them too!
-I bought a bolt of cheap tulle (about 20 yards or so). I plan to hang big canopies of it from the ceiling tied with fishing line at the corners (it’s a drop ceiling) and fill them with balloons matching the party theme. This will draw attention up and away from the green carpet!
-I am going to try and make curtains for the entry way to give it a real “entering baby wonderland” feel as guests arrive.
-I bought cheap white paper lanterns (battery powered) to hang with fishing line as well. I’m going for a bit of ambience with this one.
-Diaper cakes! I love making these very simple decorations. I normally do one big one for a gift but this time, I’m going with several smaller ones to spread around the room. All it takes is some diapers, rolled and stacked in a wedding cake shape, some ribbon, paper confetti and a little creativity.
I will post more about games, etc. tomorrow. Wish me luck!
