Mom Talk

 Mostly because our 4-year-old daughter’s out of space in her room and has outgrown her toddler bed, we are in the process of moving our bedrooms around this weekend. Big picture, we’re moving our room to the main floor (used to be the guest room), her room to where our room used to be, her toys to the extended part of her new room and then her room will be vacant (we hope to fill it with a baby at some point in the future!). Last night, as bedtime approached, she realized that for the first time in her little life, she was going to be sleeping on a different floor than us and she had a lot of anxiety. When she realized that she could leave her door open and maybe our cat would sleep in her room, she felt better. Today, we set up her new room and she is enjoying it a lot more. It has a real “big girl” feel to it and she’s having a blast. Hopefully, she’ll be much more comfortable in her new full size bed and the whole move will be a “happily ever after” for all of us!
