CCCCCCandy!!!
We had a breakfast gathering at church this morning for clergy appreciation. One of the ladies prepared a delicious breakfast for everyone and as a decoration/garnish, she put some pretty fall candy dishes out and filled them with candy corn. My daughter was thrilled and couldn’t wait to try it. Anything with the word “candy” in the title must be good, right? I allowed her to have a few pieces before the service but then made sure she ate some of the egg casserole and fruit so that pure sugar was not her breakfast.
After church, she asked me if she could have some more candy corn. I was distracted by some church responsibilities and told her yes without giving it much thought. As clean-up was occurring, I noticed that the dishes containing the candy corn were completely empty (and we’re talking a LOT of candy). I learned that my daughter and her two little buddies came in after I said she could have some more with plates and pockets and completely cleaned it all out. I wonder how wired the other two kids are right now!?
