Grant’s Farm-St. Louis

We just got back from our visit to Grant’s Farm. It’s a fairly family friendly place. You see many different types of wildlife including elephants, camels and several varieties of deer. They also had an animal “show” with some beautiful exotic birds. I do have a couple of complaints, however. It says admission is free but they charge you $10 to park and the only place to park is in their lot. A little misleading if you ask me. Second, they were all decked out for Halloween but some of the decorations were actually really scary. My 4-year-old was disturbed by some of the gorier scenes. I think they could tone it down a bit for the younger crowd or at least keep the scarier stuff covered during the daytime hours. Whoever is into the haunted stuff can go back at night for their little spooky show. Anyway, all in all, a good time was had by all and we got to see the giant Clydesdale horses, too.
