Insomnia

Published by mombloggerj at 7:48 am under Girl Talk Edit This

Insomnia is one of those unexplained phenomenons that drives me crazy.  I go to bed tired and fall asleep quickly, only to awaken a few hours later, mind racing, unable to sleep. . .OR I go to bed tired and lie there staring at the clock as the minutes tick by.  Tick, tick, tick.  The longer I lie awake, the angrier I get.  Who am I angry with?  The faceless enemy called insomnia.  When I finally do fall asleep, it’s usually a coma-like state that is painful to rouse from in the morning.  Then I go through my day yawning and wishing for a nap.  I take all the usual precautions for this ailment: avoid caffeine before bedtime, no vigorous exercise in the late evening, etc. but none of it seems to help consistently.  I am 32 years old and have never had this problem before.  I am a sleeper by nature.  I love to nap, love to go to bed and love to sleep in.  Is this stress or hormones or just age?  If I figure it out, I’ll let you know.

I’m sorry to hear you are having problems with insomnia. I have dealt with this for years. I have fibromyalgia and insomnia is a common symptom associated with it.

I hope you find relief soon.

I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with it so long. It almost makes me feel bad for complaining when I know lots of folks deal with it their whole lives.
